WHAT BE THIS OSC THANG?

What the hell is OSC?  

To put it simply, I am closing in on 60 years old and have had a lifelong passionate love affair with comic books.  Four-colored mythologies. Starting with Peanuts, Beetle Bailey, Prince Valiant, Dick Tracy, Garfield, and onto the Far Side, Doonesbury, and Calvin and Hobbes. And I started scribbling on my dad's American Legion stationery (caught a bit of hell for that.) Simple stick-figure army men fighting and parachuting into Germany, and tanks, bombers, and all the like.

Then...I discovered the Fantastic Four, Conan the Barbarian, Batman, Captain America, X-Men, Iron Fist, and on and on. 

Their creators, writers, artists, inkers, letterers, and colorists.  All brilliant creators, all who became my heroes. 

Byrne, Claremont, Buscema, Kirby, Kane, Windsor-Smith, Robbins, Adams, Miller, Thomas, Zeck, and so many damn more. (Later in my life, Bart Sears and Jim Lee would become a HUGE influence as well.

So all of this became part of my DNA, and comic books and storytelling became my passion. More visually in the beginning, but the writing quickly joined my toolkit. 

Through those magical books, I developed close friendships with Clayton Pelton, Matt DeGelleke, Gregg Deutschbeing, David Callari, and we would form our own comic company in Junior High and sell horrible, but fun comics to our classmates. 

So, I have rambled enough.  I have started and stalled many comic projects over and over again, and after losing so many of my beloved friends and fellow creators, I decided I would do my best to publish some comic books, and God willing, graphic novels.
